Artist Biography
Isobel Rayson is a multidisciplinary artist based in Carwoola, New South Wales. She graduated with First Class Honours from the Australian National University School of Art in 2014 and has since maintained a dedicated studio practice.
Rayson has held sixteen solo exhibitions and participated in group shows across public and commercial galleries in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Geelong.
In 2025, she received the Young and Early Career Artist Award for her work Enclosed in the Hazelhurst Art on Paper Award. Throughout 2025, she was named a finalist in twelve national art prizes across Australia.
In June 2026, Rayson presented her largest solo exhibition to date at Sevenmarks Gallery, Kiama. She was also a 2026 finalist in the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing, the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, and the National Works on Paper at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
